Books we can defend line by line.
We believe the Christian Bible is true in the intent of its original authors. So we measure and edit every manuscript by its concepts and principles, with an editor who knows the original languages deeply. We would rather lose a manuscript than bend the standard to keep it.
Books / Purpose
One question. Nobody wrote it down.
Title No. 1 · The Paragon Discernment Series
The Purpose Question
A Leadership Fable · David Fuller
Winona Kingbird has spent eleven years reading Meridian Seed Company the way you read weather. Then, in a boardroom celebrating a miracle wheat, she asks one question about the food itself. Someone laughs. The meeting rolls on. And when the whiteboard is photographed for the record, every action item is on it except hers.

The Paragon Discernment Series
Four leadership fables
Each volume is bound in its own cloth. Volumes are named once their manuscripts are finished.
Six lines, one house
A reader can grow up with Poedy Press: the principles as a picture book, then as a venture, then as a fable, then as a discipline. Every line is held to the same standard before it is published.
Leadership Fable Series

Our standard
Integrity is the integration of what we believe and what we publish
Many publishers ask whether a book will sell. We ask whether its concepts and principles hold. Three commitments carry that measure.
“It is written”
Scripture is our primary measure. Each manuscript's message is evaluated against the principles of the Scriptures in their original languages, so the evaluation cannot drift with the fashions of translation or commentary.
A competent editor
Evaluation is the responsibility of a qualified original-language linguist, John Mark Fuller, whose findings are independent by written agreement. Where author and editor disagree on principle, the matter goes to an independent Editorial Review Board.
No drift
No board decision is valid without a reviewer independent of both the family and the company. The review is not there to tilt our books toward a denomination or to shape an author's voice. It is there to keep our own standard.
The founder
David Fuller
David Fuller is the founder of Poedy Press and the creator of the Paragon Discernment System, a framework for seeing clearly before acting. He brings more than thirty years of leadership experience to the page, including service as a commissioned officer in the United States Air Force, a federal civil-service career with the Air Force, the Army, and the Department of Veterans Affairs, and a long practice as a Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt. He and his wife, Kathleen, married in 1987, have four children. He writes from New Braunfels, Texas.
The Paragon Discernment System grew out of those years. At the Air Force Manpower Agency, Fuller was chosen to lead the agency’s Lean Six Sigma program across roughly 700 people at seven locations. As chief of one of the Data Analytics Divisions at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs from 2018 to 2023, he found the hardest problems were not about data at all: which evidence to trust, when to decide, and how to keep a large organization honest with itself. The system he built in answer organizes discernment into three activities, Explore, Discover, and Express, held in place by two guardrails that never move, Unity and Stewardship.
