A small press is built by people who hold the standard with it. We are building the list of editors, readers and artists now, before the first titles ship.
The roles
Editors, volunteer readers, artists
Editors
Substantive editors and copyeditors who can work to a written charter and close a gate on a dated record. Scriptural fidelity review is a separate role, held by a linguist in the original languages, and is engaged under its own agreement.

Volunteer readers
Families and classrooms who will read a trial edition with a child of three to fourteen and tell us plainly what worked and what did not. The Venture Chronicles and the Poedy books are read this way before they are finished.

Artists
Illustrators for the Poedy Principles series. The books are painted, not generated: the look of gouache with coloured-pencil texture on cream paper, one style across twelve books, drawn to a written character sheet. Send a link to work, not attachments.

How we reply
We read everything and answer what we can, in the order it arrives. We will tell you if a role is filled. We do not keep files on people who write to us beyond the letter itself.
