Privacy Policy
How we handle your information.
Plainly: we collect very little, we use it only to answer you, and we do not sell it.
Who we are
This policy covers poedypress.com and thepurposequestion.com. Both are operated by Poedy Press, a d/b/a of Divray Koves, LLC, a Texas limited liability company in New Braunfels, Texas.
Questions about this policy, or about information we hold about you: info@poedypress.com, or by post to Poedy Press, Divray Koves, LLC, 451 Robin Ln, New Braunfels, Texas 78132.
What we collect
When you browse. Our sites have no accounts, no cookies, no analytics and no advertising. Like any website, the service that hosts our pages receives technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the page requested, and keeps it in server logs for security and reliability.
When you write to us. If you email us, we receive your email address, your name if you give it, and whatever you choose to write. This includes requests for a release notice, rights and distribution enquiries, and letters about editing, reading or illustrating for us.
When you ask for a release notice. The form on thepurposequestion.com asks for your email address, which editions you want to hear about (hardcover, paperback, ebook) and your consent. That is all it stores. It is kept in a private database operated by Poedy Press on Supabase, used only to send the notices you chose, and deleted when they have been sent or when you ask.
Why we use it
To answer what you write; to send the one release notice you asked for; and to keep our sites secure and working. We do not sell personal information, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not share it except with the service providers below or when the law requires it.
Service providers
Vercel Inc. hosts both sites and keeps the server logs described above. Microsoft (Microsoft 365) carries and stores our email. Supabase Inc. stores release-notice requests from the form on thepurposequestion.com. Google (Google Fonts) supplies the typefaces our pages use; when a page loads, your browser asks Google's servers for them, which gives Google your IP address. These providers may process information in the United States.
How long we keep it
Correspondence is kept as long as reasonably needed to answer it and to keep a record of decisions made because of it, and no longer than two years after the last exchange. A release-notice address is kept until that notice is sent or until you ask us to remove it, whichever comes first. Server logs are kept by our host for a short period under its standard retention and are not used by us to identify visitors.
Your choices
You may ask us what information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it or delete it. Write to info@poedypress.com. We will answer within 30 days. You can also simply ask to be taken off a release-notice list, and we will remove you.
Children
Some of our books are written for children, but our websites are for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Our volunteer reading programme is arranged with parents, guardians and teachers only; please do not send us a child's personal details. If you believe a child has sent us information, write to us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle personal information, we will update this page and its date before the change takes effect. If we add a shop, another form or any measurement of visits, this policy will be updated first.
Effective 3 November 2026. Last updated 3 November 2026.
